Randomised controlled trials are the usual way of establishing scientifically credible claims of therapeutic efficacy.

The results of such trials are then collated, published, and subject to peer review.

I think the "healing touch" needs some healing to give it credibility to anyone before ti worries about getting credibility in the scientific world. I watched Benny Hinn looking for one miracle that was credible and could never find one. It is all (100%) hearsay. They say they were sick, and they say they are healed but studies done by programs like 60 minutes have never found one healing that could be documented.

The only real healing touch that I'm aware of is the one I use to soothe my sick child when she is feverish to calm her down. It's the pat on the back to let them know they've done well, it's the rub of the bottom to a sleepy baby in your lap.

So all mothers have the healing touch eh? But that's not what you mean, is it.

Folks like Benny Hinn need to be very careful about what they do and their motive for doing it. They should remember what happened to the seven sons of Sceva:

"But some of the Jews who went from place to place driving out evil spirits, took it on themselves to make use of the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, I give you orders, by Jesus, whom Paul is preaching. And there were seven sons of a man named Sceva, a Jew and a chief priest, who did this. And the evil spirit, answering, said to them, I have knowledge of Jesus, and of Paul, but who are you? And the man in whom the evil spirit was, jumping on them, was stronger than the two of them, and overcame them, so that they went running from that house, wounded and without their clothing." (Acts 19:13-16)

See? Even the devil will beat you up if you try to use Jesus name to heal and are not one of His lol. So my answer is that you cannot use scientific method to give credibility to a healing touch ... if you tried it, the devil would come after you! lol
