I burnt my face a couple of years ago, luckily the burns were only superficial, but I still have scars down the side of my face. I have tried Bio oil but find this makes my skin break out, does anyone know of another cream I could use to help fade the scars.

The best of the best treatment available out there for scar reduction especially for burns is a product from Smith and Nephew called Cica-Care. It is not a cream or lotion but a reusable gel sheeting. I have seen it used practically many times and it is very effective. I recently had my brother using it on his scars from his knee reconstruction and now 6 months on can hardly see it. I have seen it at heaps of chemists. Its only downfall is that it is expensive about $65 dollars for a 6x12cm sheet - however it is extremely reusable and washable. If you are happy to bear the cost then its the definate way to go.

Hope this helps!

I agree: Cica Care is the best option and probably the only option that is well researched. I used to work as a Wound Care Consultant RN and this is what I recommended to my clients.
It is best used on lumpy red scar tissue and needs to be worn consistently for some months (gradually building up wear time).

I live in Asia (Thailand) and they make a cream here for scars called "Hiruoid". I don't know if it's sold under other brand names in other countries. Daily use for a few weeks reduces the appearance of scars.

Mederma or scar zone at night. During the day I use porcelaina (sp?), a fade cream.

Try MEDERMA, skincare for scars. It helps scars from surgery, injury, and burns. :)
