Have you considered flipping her over so you don't have to actually look at her? Failing that,I recommend the old "too much respect, don't want to risk a precious friendship" line. I don't think this necessarily means you are shallow. If the spark isn't there, it just isn't.Be kind!

A relationship wouldn't work anyway, you obviously don't fancy her, minger or not so you wouldn't have considered it.
If it ain't there it ain't there, be honest, you don't feel that way about her although you value her friendship highly.
I know the last part about value is a lie, as if you did you wouldn't call her a minger but a little white lie can't hurt.

Just say you value the friendship so much and you think taking the relationship in another direction may jeopardise the friendship - you prefer not to do that so would like to keep the friendship as is.
If she gets upset just say you are sorry but to be honest as a friend say you do not wish to change the friendship you value so much.
Hope that helps - Good Luck and Happy Easter

Be brutal and be honest. You may lose her friendship but that's down to her and her only to decide. It's better to lose a friendship than have to keep one on dishonest terms by leading someone on. She may just need to take some time to come to terms with the news. She may not be too bothered. Either way be honest about it and let her deal with the news in her own way.

You're harsh man! However, that said, if you're not attracted to her like that there's no real problem. Just be truthful but not hurtful. I.E. DON'T say to her "Sorry luv, you're a good mate but you're a minger" go down the "I think you're great company but I'm not attracted to you like that". I know that is a bit lame too, but try not to hurt her feelings...she is still a mate after all.

Oh the joy of young lust! LOL - okay best way to tell her is that you think of her greatly and love her as a friend, you would never ever let a guy like yourself go out with her, she needs to know that you will always be her friend but you can't be more than that. You can't see her as more than a little sister that you look out for and if that fails RUN!

well you could start by being polite, tell her that you don't see her as girlfriend material but your flattered that she sees you in a different way than just friends....give her a kiss on the cheek and tell her she will always be your friend, but that's it.....done, dusted
Python...a "minger" is someone who's considered unattractive, it's a slang term

tell her that because you're quite good friends you would be scared to risk taking the relationship to a romantic one in case things didnt work out - and ye ended up ending the friendship.
Explain that you see her almost like a sister and you value the fact that you can talk to her about pretty much anything and you would never risk messing that up.

If you lose her friendship because you say no wow then she is not a friend. Why be friends with someone that can not take no for an answer you do not owe her anything.
