My boyfriend proposed last Friday and I don't know if my expectations were too high or what it was but I was left extremely disappointed by the proposal even though the ring was amazing. This was his proposal:

Every time I look at you I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to call you mine. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted and everything I’ve ever needed and I simply cannot imagine my life without you. You’ve made me happier than anyone should have the right to be and I will love you my whole life if you just give me the chance. Would you make this the best moment of my life by agreeing to become my wife. Will you marry me?

Was I expecting too much?

You are expecting way to much if that was not good enough for you. Let the poor guy go. I would loved that proposal. My boyfriend and I were fighting when he said (would it be different if we were married?) I wouldn't even speak to him until the next day. When he finally said ( Well will you Marry me?) I said yes he didn't even have the ring yet. Grow up a little life is not a soap oprah, real men do not act like the actors on tv. There words are wrote for them remember that.

Sweetie, that sounds very sweet. You shouldnt look at it as if he disappointed you,but that he actually loves you as much as he does to consider you his wife. You shouldnt "expect" anything, especially when it comes to proposals. That does not sound like something to be disappointed about. What were you expecting?Obviously, this man loves you a great deal. This is a proposal, and you said yes i am assuming. So what,if you feel "disappointed" in his proposal. He has just asked you to marry him,and he will do everything in his power to keep you happy everyday for the rest of your life.To me,this seems a little ridiculous.Proposals are special, and you shouldnt have expectations for them, just let them happen.Good luck hun,and have a good day!

Well if that doesn't make you happy I don't know what will!!! The higher our exceptions the bigger the let down. This guys sounds like a wonderful romantic. I don't know what in the world you are looking for but if you don't like the proposal maybe you should find someone that can handle your high exceptions.

Wow... I think that was beautiful, what else were you expecting. If my ex husband had proposed like that maybe we would still be married. And he didn't even give me a decent ring!

In the name of God do this guy a favour and say "no". That was beautiful. You are supreme high maintenance and will make this guy's life Hell.
