My g/f understood how much I loved the game and constantly stated "One of these day's I'm going to try playing" Well last year I bought her a set of clubs w/ some "fancy" outfits, she loved it! She went out w/ me once and got a little flustered but I told her not to worry. This Spring she has been taking lessons from a Pro and of course I give her tips when we go to the driving range. I never say anything negative always telling her "Just keep plugging away it will come to you." The other day she drove her ball 130 or so yards and is ecstatic! So just stay positive and buy her some cute outfits, watch some LPGA on TV and tell her she can do it!

I actually bought my wife a nice set of pink golf outfit first. Its just to make her feel that she looks great in it, after that I took her to a good range to watch me swing and convinced her to try it out. 1st outing was a flop but it got her interested to know why my golf balls flew while she kept doing air shots.

Personally i think its the outfit that got her started and now she loves buying new ones to wear on the golf course!

I bought my wife a nice set of clubs, bag, etc. Paid for a few lessons. She played a while, then stopped. A few years later, she's started playing again, and I can't keep up with her.

Don't nag her. That's the worse thing.

My husband convinced me, after he had taken it up about 3 months before. We play together twice a week now, and I sometimes beat him!! Our friend's wives aren't interested, so I am the only girl. It can get a bit lonely on the ladies tee :(

My husband have convinced me to play 3 years ago. He bought me a set of clubs, cute gloves and matching hat. Even enrolled me for lessons. Its a good game to play with your loved ones. Even my kids like it. Sometimes he play with his friends and sometimes with me. I must say that it worked out well.
