Yes I have. I'm catholic. While I was in my teenage years, I question Gods existence on a daily basis. I also had a friend at the time who was into the black magic. That person did not directly influence me. I have a natural curiosity about other religions. I think at that time it gave me a chance to experience the world around me and learn about things I don't think I would of if I was faithful. But like most Christians I had awaking. But I don't not regret the knowledge I have now of other religions. My beliefs are a little different then most catholics. But I have found that even though we have many rituals and strict beliefs, we might be the one religion that actually want people to knowledgeable on many things that's out of the norm. Most religions have there do's and don'ts and understanding things out of there norm is bad. So I am glad to be a catholic.

I'm an atheist and constantly question everything I believe and do. Hence why I went from a fundamentalist Christian as a child to an atheist when I was 16. It's now been a year almost 2 and I'm pretty comfortable where I'm at but who knows. I was always like that when I was in third grade I remember I first came up with the question if god made everything who made god. Of course that’s a very bad argument but pretty good for a third grader I think.

Anni a stronger argument fo that would be that their were no humans around 4.5 billion years ago. Evolution is a fact based on fossil evidence and obsevational studies. It basically says that organisms started froming in the sea. And their genes slowy started mutating to better equip them. Over time the changed became so different their were new species. Eventually our ancestor broke off into different species which gave us man and the ape. Which I beleive happend about 4.2 to 1.5 million years ago depending on what you would classify as a man am I correct on that?

A person should be able to question their beliefs and to look for the answers. If what they believe is true, the answer will be there.
And to answer Anni3's question, no. Adam and Eve would not have time to develop genetic mutations. So no it would not have. Remember even if you use evolution everyone still has to go back to a original mating pair of every species, plus it would have to all have come from one original cell. Either way it started out as just one. Or maybe we are all retarded compared to Adam and Eve. Even if todays brother and sister marry it only raises the possibility of defects. It is not a guarantee. Many of the old royal blood lines in history married their sisters to keep the blood line pure. Some came out normal, some did not. (See Nero)

I'm Nondenominational Pagan, just to get that out into the open first...

Questioning beliefs is a wonderful thing. How do you know what you believe in if you don't question it from time to time...

I wonder sometimes exactly how words fit together...

Question
Quest
Seek....
Seek?
As in seek and ye shall find?

And it's true, the more I question and honestly think about Divinity, the more faith I have in the conclusions I have come to....

Of course it helps to not have a religion that claims to be the One Right Way... hard to question something that gives no leeway.

Like most people, there was a time where I not just questioned, but turned away from the Christian faith I was raised in for a few years. It was during my teens when I was establishing my own beliefs and values. I had been "raised in the faith", but had never actual made my own decision of it.

It was my last year in high school when I was challenged to read a book my CS Lewis called "Mere Christianity" where I first began to look at the logics and reasonings for accepting the Christian faith. Between that and a friend who simply lived out the Christian ideal before me that I made that initial committment to Christ.

Since that committment was made - and God showed up to honor it - I have never looked back. I have "questioned" in the sense of "what do I believe" and "why do I believe", but never in the sense of "Is there a God". That issue was settled decades ago.

Since ECKANKAR (my religion) emphasizes knowing rather believing, it explains why questions are freely encouraged. The spiritual masters acknowledge that doubt is to knowledge what yeast is to bread. So every student is encouraged to check out everything he is told and know it is a fact instead of believing everything out of deference to the master. Indeed, a new student is advised to read books for the first two years or so before joining.

As a child I was brought up in Orthodoxy...All man made rules.
I praise God for opening my eyes to His truth.

I consider myself a child of God...no label...I believe in God's Word the Holy Bible.

Here's a website that shows all the false doctrines around & it's based on scripture. Whoever is searching for truth should pray about it. The Lord does show it to us who earnestly seek Him.

Absolutely.
Why?
To clarify them.
To strengthen them.
How?
By exploring the Creator in all facets of human experience, and making up my own mind about it.
