The best solution to stop the craving for sweets is to take the supplement chromium three times daily with meals. In about a week you will find yourself not craving sweets.
I have used this treatment on hundreds of patients with incredible success.

I understand exactly what you are experiencing. I too was addicted to sweets. For years and years. I always had to have deserts after every meal and ice cream and pecan pie. Well it caught up to me. I could never lose very much weight and I was eating starches as well and many foods that are starchy are also sugary. I finally ended up with a yeast infection and parasites. Now sugar feeds yeast so I had to come off of it. I did not do it cold turkey but did cut out having deserts with every meal. I also had a cleansing to get rid of those dirty critters parasites. I went on some excellent supplements, at a recommendation of a Herbalist, which helped to take the cravings away. It was not easy, But I did it and I have lost 48 pounds all total and 4 dress sizes and have never felt better in my life. I had to change my whole way of eating. Sugar is a killer! If you would care to contact me we can go further on it then what I can here. So use my newbegin@shaw.ca address and put "cold turkey on sweets" as your subject. and I will send you some more information.

Sugar is addictive just like a drug and you are a "sugar junkie", as are most people. Unfortunately, it's in almost all processed foods...just start reading labels. I would suggest you go "cold turkey" because even a little sugar will cause you to over-indulge. The craving is like addiction withdrawals. My suggestion is do not buy the junk; don't bring it into your house!
Read the book "SugarBusters" and you will find the answer to your problem. All of that exercise won't amount to anything if you don't cut the crap out of your diet. Sugar is like poison and really causes damage to our bodies.
Great question that is helpful to others..thank you...Godloveya.

You could bet taht you will see a major change. Because even if you exercise regularly, you're not doing any good by eating all those sweets.
Try to limit your sweets intake. Don't go "cold turkey" per se, but just think of it this way... if you want a donut, only eat half of it, etc. Or treat yourself on the weekend.
Eventually you will not want to eat as many sweets. Up your cardio, and you will see major results.
GOOD LUCK!

i would say it should take a bit longer.. i've been off of pop (soda which is sugar filled) since Jan 6 .. not completly cold turkey.. but i cut down from one a day to one maybe every week...
and i've just finally noticed a difference now..
however i haven't really exercised this past month at all..
as ive been sick..
:) but yeah it will take longer then a week to notice a difference appearance wise
as for the cravings they may never compelty go away but i imagine after a day or so it should be easier

I have tried this in the past. As a result I had about a 3-day detox period, during which I felt a bit tired and cranky, and then on the 4th day the cravings were gone and I felt better.
