That's how my son was as 15 months. From 18-24 months, it dramatically changed. He started speaking 1-3 new words a day and making phrases. He's now 25 months old and uses complete sentences, sings the words to almost all of his toddler tunes, and never stops talking (lol). Toddlers tend to focus on one thing at a time. I can assure you that she will be talking non-stop VERY soon!!!

Each one is different. Mine started early-like him Momma he is a gabber!. He had to have his hearing checks because he slurred and once fixed that really helped. [Tubes]
Yet, my best friends daughter was almost three and that was so scary for us all. Lots of tests and no problems. She was just a quiet child. Oddly, when she actually started to TALK, she leaped ahead to full 5 word sentances from one word answers and already could identify small words and numbers.
She is 24 now in [Master's program] Grad School in College... still quiet and brilliant... a reader (several books a week) on top of college and very logical.
Ease your mind, each has his/her own. Check with the doctor if you are worried. best wishes

I have a 18 month old and he still only says the single words no phrases for us yet. This morning I had Bob the Builder on for my little girl in my room and when he got up he looked at me and said "Bob". LOL

They can differ.
At 15 months saying' dada' and pointing is normal.
If she dosent progress much by the time she is 2, take her to a speech therapist for assesmment if your still concerned.

That's quite normal. Kids vary widely, she will gradually start putting a couple of words together and before you know it she'll be talking at you non stop :)

She's just being herself. :-)
Every child develops at different rates. I think my oldest was about 20 months old before she started rattling off everything she knew. The youngest was almost 2 before she started talking more. We knew she could, but she chose not to. Bring up your concerns at her next doctor's visit. But to me, I say she is completely normal.
