Islam.
Religion-wise, here's my favourite verse from the Qu'ran:
"Travel the world and see how God originated Creation."
29:20
This verse talks about how we should try to learn and understand our universe more.
"You shall resort to forgiveness, advocate tolerance and disregard ignorance."
7:199
This one is self-explainatory.
Personally, Religion and faith gives me reason to trust and be at peace with the unknowns in this world, instead of fearing it.

Well, I'm non-denominational, but I'll try to answer this as best I can..
I believe that religions are... tools to reach the same goal. A religion works almost like a map - I suppose it helps guide people through life, and helps show them what comes after life. Some people prefer one kind of "map", while others prefer another. Some of these "maps" look so different that they hardly even seem to have much of anything in common, but the goal among them all remains the same.
Many religions provide a strong sense of community, and a common understanding among those who share the same religion. In this way, it brings people together.
However, historically, religions also separate people. Different religions have sparked wars and caused countless deaths, and the strife continues to this day. Christian and Pagan, Judaism and Muslim... The battle is the same.
This is why I have chosen no church. I am not atheist - without a doubt I know that there is a greater spirituality. I simply use any ideas and concepts that I agree with. I feel that this gives me more freedom to change.

As a metaphysical minister, I believe that religion and spirituality, in general, are both part of an inner human need to experience some form of faith. Whether you have faith in God, Allah, All-That-Is, the Great Spirit in the Sky, etc., or just yourself, this is spirituality. Religion is a way for groups of people to gather together and share spirituality and faith with each other and help other seekers to better understand the statement of faith that their religion preaches will lead you to a specific spiritual goal.

I am not religious. I do not believe in one person or group of people's interpretation of a holy text because it is never complete or correlating. I am perfectly fine believing that there is a higher power that does not abide by our laws of the universe, yet I do not want to confine myself to religion. I see religion as merely a set of rules, thought of by man as insurance for the afterlife.
