This actually may be allergies and not a cold. The pollen count is VERY high this year. I would try ANYTHING with Sufdaphed in it, it's the only thing proven to dry up rhinitis (running nose). You can use it for about a week then it will cause something call rebound congestion which means it will make the condition WORSE! My suggestion recently to customers is Claritan D. It's non-drowsy and since it's allergy season this will really help you. Even if you haven't had allergies before the medical journals are saying this is the year you may have them!

How long have you had a cold? A normal cold lasts about 9 total days. After this if you have pressure in your eyes, and head and or around your nose (it's green discharge) I think you need to see a doctor to help you get rid of it.
If it has just started I like Dayquil it just helps - or Sudafed Sinus - Nothing helps really and it's alright to let your nose run (gross I know) drink a ton of clear liquid (or OJ)
and rest if you can.
Apply warm compress to your face if the pressure is bad and or steam -
Have you tried the sudafed shower (looks like a puck) they open you up too.
