Girl friend literally means a friend who is girl/female. But the real meaning is more than that. The real difference between girlfriend and "a friend who is girl" is passion. A girl friend is the one with whom you want to make love. You see her as your life partner. You want to have kids with her i.e you want to have family. Sometimes I feel it's more than that but we don't take it so seriously. In reality everyone wants his girl friend to be his life partner or future wife but sometimes it doesnt work out and you need to change.
How it starts? You get a girl with whom you get friendly. After dating for few days/weeks sometimes you feel some kind of passion for her. You want to see her, you want to feel her. That means you want to make her your girl friend. Passion is the word which differenciate girlfriend from "a friend who is girl". As you can see in theory you can have just one girl friend but many friends who are girls.

a girl who does lot of excercise in gym and has the upper part in good shape and down part very tight is called your girl friend. cycling a long way on a bicycle also makes the down part good and tight. also your heart beat and her heart beat should beat correctly together. then she became wife. if heart beat not beat properly then she became enemy.
