Ok, why do people assume I am red skinned and living in an islamic society because I'm muslim? I am half Irish half German and my family has been born and raised in the US for the past 100 years. I am speaking out as a muslim and being persistant because nobody wants to hear it. People are claiming we don't speak out. Well, I have posted many questions, but they act like it never happened and cry about it again. We as muslims speak out. I have at least 40 people from this board backing me and saying the same. We know the truth, and we are not about to run. Here is a link to where hundreds of muslims condemn terrorism, most of them leaders.

As-salaamu alaikum!!!

MashaAllah! I hear you loud and clear sis! I am a African American/Asian Muslimah born and raised in the US. My mother is a baptist, my father was a buddhist... So i am Muslim by choice.

I am not oppressed.
I do not a terrorist
I am not following anyones guidelines for life but Allah's
I am not evil
I love and worship my Lord under the guidedance of Al-Islam

I have responded to many accusations (cant even call them questions) about Muslims not speaking out when in fact we do!!!

remember, bad press gets more alerts then positve. that means we just have to work twice as hard as a ummah and unite together!

May Allah have mercy on us all!

Wa Salaams

Yes my dear, don't be afraid to speak out; if you don't, all the rocks on the Rocky Mountains will cry out.
It was Martin Luther King who said that Silence is our worst enemy.
Many non-Muslims here seem to think that that all Muslims are evil because of the rabid behavior of a few Muslim fanatics; but how would they know the truth of Islam if we don't tell them the truth. Yes! all true Muslims need to shout from the Mountains to proclaim the the truth and condemn the devils among us; if we don't we will not be doing the will of God.
I salute all you brave Muslims who have the courage to speak up against those who try to contaminate true Islam. May Allah smote them with a fiery sword!

Hi there,
I am a muslim too and i too raise questions related to the present scenario...but i am really not able to understand why are you so upset about it....being upset wont do any good to you, it will just make you ill. Dont worry, everything will soon be allright when people come to know that we also deserve the same respect, even higher sometimes than others...and that day is not far.

I hate to say this, but "told ya"

I'm not mocking (You know that), but some people just love stereotyping.

I've tried with some people, still, the same response is repeated over and over again "Muslims don't speak up because they're supporting the cause".

It's rediculous.

Don't worry.... as long as we're still breathing, we'll do our best to show the world what Islam really is about.

Peace.

Wow, I am sorry you are so upset. I would not allow the voices or responses get to you. As long as you know who you are and what you believe. Don't allow those who are miserable and ignorant to lead you to anger or frustration. I know that not all people who follow Islam, support terrorism and so do most of society. Have a great day, and God bless****

Go girl!!!
I do not normally support Muslims here but if this is your stand, I bow to you; you are not only beautiful but brave.
If you are truly convinced that the fanatics are evil Muslims then maybe there must be Good Muslims around.
Let me go read the Qumran again.

Most people are ignorant and think the only Muslims are Arabs and that the Muslims live in the desert. They don't realize that Muslims aren't always Arab and that not all Muslims live in the desert.
