Something that a lot of people recommend to get soft hair is to over-condition the hair. It weighs the hair down and it gives it a slicker or more soft feeling. Unfortunately, with your situation I would not recommend this. Given that you have an oily scalp, you probably have that common problem of your hair looking "greasy" not long after you've washed it. If you over-condition, this will only make the hair seem more greasy and probably frustrate you more than anything. When people have oily scalps, they tend to shampoo more, which can then cause dandruff. You have one of those types of hair that may always give you trouble. Here are some recommendations:

Try only washing your hair every other day - this will hopefully decrease the dandruff. To reduce the "greasy" look - if this is a problem. Try sprinkling just a little bit of powder to the top of the head and rubbing it in really good. This will absorb excess moisture from the scalp, but given that it's a dry substance will not tend to cause the scalp to flake. It also separates out the hairs and gives lift to it. The powder will slo help give a soft feeling to the hair itself. It sounds kind of different, but give it a try - I think it may help. Remember just to use the powder on the scalp area. For softer feeling hair throughout - try using a leave in conditioner, but avoid applying directly to the scalp, just massage into the hair itself - also try applying a "light whip" - salons carry this - it adds softness and lift while controlling fly-aways and not weighing the hair down.

I hope this was helpful - I know it can be terrible to always worry about the condition of your hair. Unfortunately it may be always something you have to control, but once you find a few methods to make it more manageable, hopefully it will become much less of a hassle. Best of luck to you!!

Try using a medicated shampoo for the dandruff and do a weekly deep condition on your hair. Once a week smother your hair in a rich conditioner and leave for a few hours, the longer the better. You should see an improvement in the texture and condition for your hair. Something that a lot of people recommend to get soft hair is to over-condition the hair. you should use argan oil after a bath at the same time as your hair continues to be damp. in case you get a superior form then that's absolutely not oily or weigh your hair down. i exploit the pro organic’s form of moroccan argan oil because salons use it a lot. It makes hair tender and glossy.
