Believe it or not, she is only trying to protect you. She just doesn't want you to end up an unwed mother, or worst yet raped or dead. Just be patient (I know, that is easier said than done). She will let go when she feels that you are mature enough to handle the big, cruel, nasty world out there. Good Luck!

PS-- I had a 10 o'clock curfew on the night of my Senior Prom and a 12 o'clock curfew on the night before my wedding.

I know this might be a pain right now. May even seem uncool especially because some of your friends maybe staying out. The day is gonna come when you are gonna appreciate mom for what she did.........Just be patient. She doesnot want you to live a life of regret.

Your mother cares for you a lot....she may seem a little too strict but you need to talk to her without arguments and try to convince her that other places like movies are another place to have fun...

well my rule was, while you live under my roof you abide by my rules.
I grounded my daughter at 18 and she wore it.
Your mum loves you, it is not you she is worried about it is everyone else.
Be thankful she cares, not like a lot of other mothers who don't and just let their daughters go out and do what ever.

Nothing. She'll always be your Mum and she's doing what she thinks is best for you.

Try to politely and calmly tell her how you feel and negotiate compromises, if possible.

try to be more close to your mum, and ask for her advice even when you don;t need it. this will gain you her trust, and something about parents.
when we are....
0-14 yrs we like our parents
14-30 yrs we hate our parents
30-40 yrs we like our parents
40 > we remember them.
every minute count , use it wisely.
