Did you know that British Muslims condemn the terrorist attacks?

You all know me as a Proud muslim, and I am. How can you say that none speak out when this one is and so many others? Are you blinded by hatred? This isn't to all of you. This is to those who are too deep in hatred and ignorance to rationally think.

British Muslims, along with everyone else, are watching events in America with shock and horror, says a statement from the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).
Whoever is responsible for these dreadful, wanton attacks, we condemn them utterly. These are senseless and evil acts that appal all people of conscience. The MCB stands shoulder to shoulder with remarks made by our Prime Minister Tony Blair. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the innocent victims, their families and communities. We convey our deepest sympathies to President Bush and the people of America. No cause can justify this carnage. We hope those responsible will swiftly be brought to justice for their uncons

I would certainly hope so, and expect so from any of my Muslim friends.

I would also hope that moderate Muslims are alert to those of their co-religionists who are involved in propogating the ideologies that support mass murder, and take a practical stand against this.

This takes courage, I know, but the role of moderate Muslims in ending this insanity is vital.

The terrorist bombings in New York, Madrid, Denpassar, London and countless other places are intended not only to cow the West, but also the vast majority of Muslims who don't subscribe to the thuggish bullying of extremists. Please remain brave. It is very important.

Wonderful to hear you state that you feel that way. I have to ask though, not long ago I was watching British Muslims marching in London with signs that said, Britain the next Muslim country, Blessing the Martyrs that killed unbelievers, and death to all zionists, etc..etc... Where were the Muslims that condemn these actions? Why did I not not see one Cleric or Muslim holding a sign that said the terrorists are murderers. You may not believe what they do, but no one in the Muslim community is taking an active stance against them publically either.

Unfortunately The Muslim faith will never live the attack down , as the Americans and Slavery, the Australians and treatment of Aboriginals, South Africans for the treatment of Black South Africans, I could go on and on. It seems that we all today pay for things our ancestors did so many years ago. The Muslim Faith will be no different and will be reminded of that horrific event for years to come. Its a sad world, or should I say Its a beautiful world we live in, but its the people in it.

The term "British Muslim" only covers the moderates. There are some real fanatics in Britain.

I'm sure many do, but it's a pity they don't go on marches, and burn effigies of the terrorists, and call for jihads against them.

I wish and hope your voice will sound louder in you islamic society. So far the only thing I see people killing their own -including their own children- with no mercy. There is a very very serious flaw in your religion and its thinking that things like that can happen in your society. islam with its disrespect for other beliefs scares me a lot.
