What is the fastest speed possible for a full sized shopping trolley (cart)?
In ideal conditions with a load of groceries.

Ofcourse I'm not talking about having it fall from a building or plane.

A shopping trolly fully loaded is not designed for speed. Small wheels and high barycentre, it is highly instable so over a certain speed it collapse. So the maximum speed can be determined only by experimental situation, and we can only say what it could be in our opinion. In my personal opinion, over 10 mph it skik and overturn.

I don't know about the top speed but my g/f can accelerate a trolley from 0-20mph in a nano second, when she spots a bargain.

There's a guy i read about who had fitted a motorcycle engine to one and it went like nothing you've ever seen!

I'm sure it was doing well over 30mph but wasn't very stable so i don't think i'd be offering to drive the thing.

I can't seem to find a link to it but will keep looking.

Depending on the speed used to push it. If a car is pushing it then it could go at 70mph on a motorway!
