Not at all. Sincerity is no way to judge rightly any belief system. You can be very sincere...and yet be sincerely wrong.

The question I think you are really asking, as I understand it, is whether truth is 'relative' or 'absolute'? All religions, if you study their beliefs can convince you that they are right and can appear to back up their beliefs from their particular sacred writings. Even within Christianity, the different denominations each believe they have a monopoly on truth, and seem to be able to back it up..and they're all using the same sacred writings (ie: The Bible)! My belief is that there has to be an absolute truth, and if we seek it earnestly, we will find it. I have spent years searching and now believe I have found it within Christianity, and specifically, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Many may disagree and that is their right and privilege because we live in a society that practises freedom of religion.

I think that if a religion uses the ole "belief" language..Ie you must believe in the face of all rational arguement, and there is nothing that can disuade you - and blind belief is congratulated (its all a test etc) then it is not a valid idea that has any right occupying a human head.

A person should only be concerned with if their religion is right for them. Trying to prove your faith is right to someone else is like trying to prove that your cooking is better than someone else. It is a matter of opinion not fact. No one person's religion is going to be good enough for everyone, everyone must decide for themselves which path is correct for them.

Are your beliefs true just because you believe them to be true?
I know, that I know, that I know without a doubt! Can you say the same? If so, then you're all set!

Nope, but for eye witnesses to die for that believe shows something. That was the case for Jesus's disciples. They didn't die for something that they thought was a lie. But, what makes it noteworthy is that they witnessed Jesus's life, death and resurrection, and they still believes so much that they were put to death rather than deny that he is God.

We don't MAKE the truth, we only get to DISCOVER what the truth already is.
