During Friday prayers Muslim clerics in the Arab world have strongly condemned Tuesday's attacks in America.

It's not courage in any way to kill an innocent person, or to kill thousands of people, including men and women and children

Sheik Mohammed Sayed Tantawi
Syria's most senior Islamic leader described the attacks on America as a terrorist act, as ignoble as what he called the state terrorism practised by Israel.

Hundreds of Palestinians also rallied in the West Bank city of Ramallah to show support for Americans killed in the attacks, as well as condemn Israeli killing of Palestinians in Jenin.

And in Iran, Tehran's main football stadium observed an unprecedented minute's silence in sympathy with the victims.

'State terrorism'

Iran's Ayatollah Imami Kashani spoke of a catastrophic act of terrorism which could only be condemned by all Muslims, adding the whole world should mobilise against terrorism.

Are you that naive? Must have been an illusion when the tv showed Hundreds of thousands of "regular" muslims dancing in the streets all over the world when the twin towers fell. And I'm SURE that Sheik Mohammed Sayed Tantawi and Ayatollah Imami Kashani are against all of those acts of terrorism that they help promote, enable, and fund throughout the world. And by the way, The State of Israel does not promote terrorism. If the Muslims would just leave them ALONE, then they would leave Muslims ALONE. They are Gods Chosen People, and the Land of Israel belongs to THEM. Given to them by God Himself....theBerean

imams at mosques here condemned the 9/11 attacks in very strong terms. we had protests against these types of attacks, support with America gatherings of people against these type of attacks. Islamic leaders on tv condemning the attacks. I live in Islamic country, but the media in the west prefer not to show this, we must ask why would they do that.

I suppose there are good Muslims as there are bad ones in the same manner that there are good Catholics, Christians, Protestants, Buddhists, etc. as there are bad ones. Being good is not the monopoly of any one religion. But the good person, regardless of creed abhors terrorism and murder of innocent individuals for whatever cause because the end never justifies the means.

9-11 was like JFK IT WAS A GOD DAM CONSPIRACY! NOT A THEORY, THO MANY THEORIES ARISE FROM CONSPIRACY DUE TO THE LACK OF EVIDENCE AND TRUTH. Rather than take on the lies and the facts you simply ask well who than, and how? As soon as someone starts to answer that qustion you got them. They are making conspiracy theories.

I know, I'm not Muslim, but it's a horrible stereotype that all Muslims are bad people who want to blow us up.
