he seems a little bit intimidated by the fact that i am doing a hard course!! my mom thinks it wont work out because we are not on the same level....is this being prejudice???

maybe a little prejudice but you know your mom just wants the best for you what you need to look at is how do you feel and think farther ahead in the future when you graduate and may be earning more money how will that make him feel talk to your guy and look at the broad prospects see what he thinks maybe it'll be ok maybe not but your young and theirs no law saying you have to come to a decision right now have some fun together and wait and see where the road takes you both he can have some good prospects in his future to you know

if it doesn't bother your or him, i wouldn't worry about it...however, your mom doesn't seem to mind pointing out that she thinks that he is beneath you, which will probably be bad for him. She may feel the need to belittle him in public, family gatherings, etc...you need to have a talk with her, and fast, if you want any kind of future with this man.

However, he seems intimidated by your tough course...that could be a problem...sounds like HE feels beneath you too. I see trouble in your future.

I'm a lawyer... And my wife a post woman... And really, sincerely, I love her... No problem.. (My first wife was a lawyer... And our marriage was worse then hell). But if he feels unsecure... Give him confidence... Tell him about your friend who is a student at university like you, but is sooooo stupid.... Then about another friend of you... Who is a mecanic, and who is the most intelligent person you've ever known... He may catch the message...

yes it can work... being on the same level has nothing to do with respect, understanding and love. and yes, it is a tad bit prejudiced.

IT ISN'T PREJUDICE, IT'S JUST THE WAY OF LIFE. YOU ARE MORE LIKETLY TO HAVE A MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE THAT YOU CAN RELATE TO. BUT YOU ARE BOTH YOUNG, SO YOU ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY DESTINED TO FAIL.
