That would depend, animal corpses should mostly be eaten by now by scavengers-human corpses should have been buried long before the snow fell or cut up for the scavengers to carry away and eat! :o :) But remains are almost always found someplace.

Most likely, If you live in a Zombie infested region, right after a thaw is the best time for finishing them off. Don't wait too long though! Once they warm up and dislodge themselves from snow and ice you need to evacuate the area.
