use a leash while bathing the dog, and dry them quickly after that, so they wont be rolling wet on dirts~ Good Luck!

It is not a bad idea to take your lab for a good 45 minute walk before the bath so your dog is a little tired when it comes time to bathing. It works for me with my Saint Bernard and Newfie who are typcially crazy in the tub! Leashes are always a smart idea in the tub as well. I usually have my husband hold the leash as I bathe. Good team work! Good luck!! :)

Talk sweetly to it, pet it, feed it little treats and stuff. Also dogs are better when you till a tub with water and pour it on them with a bowl or something rather than if you turn on the showerhead.
Don't put water on the dogs head as much, because it causes them to shake. Like someone said above, leave it to the end.
My dog hates baths but she loves swimming. What a weirdo.

You will need someone to help you for awhile, not too much water in the bath that may frighten your dog. While your bathing have the other person giving treats, and praise your dog while it is being good.

The best way to help keep an animal calm is to remain calm yourself. Hold him firmly, and talk to him in a soothing voice. Treat him the same way you would treat a scared or belligerent child who needs to understand that you are in control, he will take a bath and it will not be that bad.

Feed it dog treats before, during, and after bathing to help it relize that bathing isn't bad. Then slowly cut back the treats

Take him/her to training school, after bath it should be on command and sit on a carpet and you shoud use a hair dryer to dry the dog.
Dog can creat a big problem if not trained well and it should be on certain commands at all the time.

My puppy hates baths too. We put the shower on really low so it doesn't scare her (do y ou have the pressure up too high by any chance?) then tempt her in with liver treats. It works ... kind of, although she still doesn't really like it, but she doesn't make as much fuss as she used to.
