I'm a Muslim, I switch on the TV and I saw the muslim terrorists bombing something. And then the whole world starts throwing insults and such to us, regardless the fact that that those responsible aren't really living up to the Islamic teachings.

Read the book: "Allah(God) is kind, Allah is compassionate, Allah is merciful." It goes on and on that way, page after page. But, no, some bastards have to come along and revive this stupid holy-war crap just to further their own hateful agenda. So now, everybody thinks Muslims are all murderous barbarians. Thanks, Taliban: 1,000 years of pan-Islamic cultural progress down the drain.

So I go online, to try to clear the misunderstandings regarding Islam and promote interfaith harmony. But suddenly there's a couple of muslims here go misquoting the bible, insult non-muslims and so on. Thanks Punter, all my effort in trying to gain interfaith harmony goes down the gutter.

Maybe you guys could write it on my tombstone someday when I die:

"Here lies Adia Arek. He tried."

So, has any member of your faith ever dissapointed you?

There will always be good people in a faith and bad people in a faith. Its always the bad ones that get the most attention. As long as you promote the good and educate others on how the bad are not showing the true path of a faith then you will prevail.

Yes, of course! There where some close friends which disappointed me, too. Everyone understands the faith in a very individual way. Faith is a very personal thing and only membership of faith doesn't say much about a person. So, I try to be a good Buddhist (in my case) in that way I can understand what "good" in this case means to me.

And interfaith harmony is the best!

Yes, sometimes I am disappointed in people of my own religion. Usually these are people who are very new, with an inadequate understanding.

And some of them harbor a deep and abiding hatred for their previous religion, which is counterproductive to their own spiritual development.

As for you, dear, you're doing what you can. Know that sometimes we don't even know how profound an effect we have on others.

The very best thing you can do is to keep doing what you are doing.

I am a Christian, and there are people everywhere "professing" to be Christians, then do the exact opposite. So, to answer your question, yes, I am frequently dissapointed by people who claim to trust Jesus.

By the way, have you read Surah 19:19? It is quite interesting
