To me is harassment & racist. I have Mexican friends & I am white. Mexico is not the ONLY country that cross the border. Example like Cuba,Russians,Middle Eastern,BRITISH,Chinese,Koreans, & friends from the north which is Canada. Why not them???

It is a difficult subject, because most normal people don't want to offend by giving their opinion. The truth is that we have more illegal immigrants than from other countries. Compounding the outrage of many in the U.S. is the flagrant manner in which our own officials turn a blind eye to the problem.

I welcome immigrants from Mexico, but we need to have a better system - one with integrity and compassion, but, mostly, a bias towards American citizens. We have some (maybe just a few) intelligent people in our government... I am sure that someone can determine the right number of immigrants that we need - and what types.

We need doctors, lawyers, migrant workers, etc. Immigrants need a rational system that also protects their rights. I am a firm believer that by limited the number of immigrants and making the process official, that we will increase immigrant wages, increase worker rights, and protect the municipalities that are faced with caring for these immigrants.

The Canadian border is watched as well as the Mexican border. As a Minuteman, I've stood watch on both borders. The southern border definitely gets more traffic, but there is quite a bit from Canada as well. What people don't seem to understand is that Canadian immigration laws are some of the weakest on the planet. People from Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe regularly use Canada as a jump off point into the US.

The Border Patrol on the Canadian border also make use of some of the most high tech tools at their disposal. Its pretty neat to see the differences between the operational techniques used on both.

The reason the southern border gets so much publicity is for the simple fact that there are WAY more crossings and you don't have the same "type" of human smugglers along the northern.

I live in Arizona and 99% (by Border Patrol records ) of the illegal aliens are from south of the border. only 1 % are OTM. The states along our northern border aren't being impacted by millions of illegal aliens flooding them. Our south western states get the majority of all illegal aliens from all nations. Our schools aren't having to teach Canadian (English) they are teaching in Spanish to the illegal aliens children. The hospitals aren't flooded with illegals in the north that use the ERs as primary care.
The illegal aliens coming across our northern border aren't marching in our streets yelling their hate of America and legal Americans, they aren't desecrating our flags and demanding "rights" they have no right to have.

If anyone is racists its the illegal aliens from south of the border towards legal Americans.

Why don't the illegal aliens from south of the border, stop being racists towards Americans ??

This has NOTHING to do with professionalism. That's a misnomer and doesn't apply to illegal aliens or the issues.

And Canada actually helps stop illegal aliens from entering the USA ,the arrest illegals..

Mexico on the other hand encourages and facilitates the illegal alien.

This is not just a matter of checking and balances or proper tending of a nation, it is a matter of SECURITY. Try walking into Mexico and see if it is a two way street. It's a fact that terrorists are paying Mex MS-15's $25000-30000 to help them cross over(if only they knew how easy it is). This threatens not only US citizens but legal immigrants also. Is that why border security might be a necessary idea-if it's not too late?

Because there are MILLIONS of illegal mexicans.
I grew up in Texas, we always had illegals. And some of them were really wonderful people, but this is getting WAY out of control and the attitude seems to be they want a war with the US, trying to take back land won by Texas 171 years ago or purchased through the Gadsen purchase and the Louisiana territory
Cubans and Russians aren't doing that. Mexicans alone have that attitude. And it makes me want to fight.

You are right, we shouldn't just pick on Mexico, we should close the border to all countries. By the way, where are you from? You don't speak the too good a English!

Last I checked Cubians, Russians, Middle Eastern, British, Chinese, Korean and our friends from Northen Canada weren't parading in our streets waving thier flags, pooping in our streets demanding we change our laws for them. I believe most anti illegals on this site say all illegals should be deported not just the ones from Mexico!! I also believe if the others were marching on the streets and waving their flags they would meet the same treatment.

Mexicans are coming here illegally at a staggaring rate. There are prople who are not paying taxes, not paying into social security, yet they are taking up room in our schools and prisons and placing a hard burden on the welfare system (yes they can collect certain welfare benefits). If you did not pay your taxes, you would go to jail. Do you want your child going to a school that only has a budget for 3,000 kids, but illegals are overcrowding it?
Illegals don't have immunizations and can potentially bring disease to our country that we otherwise would have under control.
Also illegals are are making it easier for drug trafficing to take place.

Easy to answer. You plug the biggest hole first.

An analogy, A boat that is sinking has a ten-foot wide hole in one end and 5 1/2 inch holes in the other end, you have the resources to plug one or the other what do you do?

There is nothing racist about it, millions come via Mexico

That's the hole you plug first.

Like yourself, I am also euro-American and have Mexican-American friends and co-workers who share my opinion that illegal aliens cost us major portions of our incomes. Quite likely unlike yourself, I once lived and worked in Mexico for a couple of years where I had to learn to speak Spanish as there were no bi-lingual signs, translators readily available or grants of money from the Mexican government to improve my situation or provide me with free education.
I met and formed friendships with peers among the Mexican nationals and enabled myself to know the differences between Los Angeles "gangstas" on the take and real "Mex-Ams" genuinely wishing to become naturalized citizens with the willingness to share their culture rather than demand we Americans become subject to theirs. Should I wish to become an American-Mexican, I would of course work on my accent and absorb the culture of my new country without attempting to sue my new countrymen for failure to speak English at the workplace and crying "racista" at every crosswalk.
You are quite right to point out the US also has an immigration "problem" with the influx of illegal Asians, Arabs, Cubans and other nationals, but to include the peaceful Canadians whom just want a day's shopping over the border or the Mexicans whom wish the same accommodation is material for satirists and not a recipe for "international incident stew." The fault is not with Joe and Jane Yank, as those of us whom work for international corporations are exposed to dangerous concepts such as learning to add and enjoy Chorizo con Huevos or red or green Thai curry dishes, Chicken Adobo from the Philippines to our family menus.
Suspect your government for playing the "race" card as these Washington, D.C. employees still have problems with black Americans who've lived with us long enough to remember the French and Indian Wars, yet are pulled over in Georgia because of skin color rather than automobile paint.
Excess immigration is a threat to any nation with limited resources such as the US. We are running out of land and adequate housing as well as health care resources and the ultimate solution may be learned from the Republic of China which is rather strict on reproduction. The issue is not race, the issue is population control.
