I guess it's high time you potty trained him. My son is two-and-half and he's potty trained. While I agree that this happens at different ages for different children, 9 yrs is too late.

Most kids are potty trained around 3 yrs old. By then, they learn how to tell adults that they need the potty.

Make them pee before they sleep and when the diapers are dry the next morning, they are ready for toilet training.

The earlier they are trained, the easier for them to ease into school life. In Asia, classes start as early as 4 yrs old, hence the need to toilet train early.

Good luck!

You meant 9 months old isn't it? If your son is 9 years old, he is way too old for diapers. He'd better be potty trained. If 9 months then he should start learning to use potty instead of diapers.

Boy, you must be made of money. At 9 years old and not potty trained, it seems to me that you have been lazy in the training department. Do you know how much ridicule you are subjecting this poor child to.? I was slow toilet training my daughter because of many instabilities in my life but by 3 she was toilet trained. I enlisted the help of day care. My daughter seeing other people her age going to the bathroom helped.

Assuming you did mean years and not months and that you did mean training and not just night accidents, I think you have a diaper fetish and are just trying to get a rise out of the kind folks who write answers around here. If you're actually in the situation you described, you couldn't possibly be ignorant of what normal parents would have done by now. They'd have been telling you for quite a few years now.

I take it you mean night trained. Some kids are 12 before their bodies are ready but at 9 there is help. Talk to your doctor where to start

If you want to change adult sized fecal matter have at it. Is your child delayed in some way? If he`s developmentally normal, then why isn`t he toilet trained? Jeeze, you`re just looking for ticked off parents when you ask questions like that.
