I've seen the philippine eagle a lot of times... it is a huge eagle. it has the broadest wings of all eagles and is the tallest. the philippine eagle has only two rivals in terms of size, the harpy eagle and the steller's sea eagle, both are heavier but the philippine eagle is larger in size. the wikipedia said that the harpy is bulkier but the philippine eagle is the only eagle that can exceed the size of the harpy... hence it is bigger...
the philippine eagle is the top predator in its ecosystem. however it is already rare.
there are no sloths in the philippines, what it eats are flying lemurs, macaque monkeys, civets, small wild cats, large fruit bats, monitor lizards, deers, king cobras occassionaly dogs, goats and chickens and many others.
i hope to see the philippine eagle, harpy eagle and steller's sea eagle all in one place so that i can compare their sizes.

The harpy is the taller and heavier of the two and has a slightly wider wing span.
However the largest eagle in existence was the Haast's Eagle and is now extinct. It weighed somewhere between 22 - 30 lb.

The largest Eagle in the world is the Philippine, They are not a popular as the Harpy due to their extremely low (non existent) numbers in the wild.

harpy eagles are the larger ones. a harpy eagle can pick up a sloth.
infact harpy eagles are the largest eagles on earth. their wing can spread upto 8 feet wide.
