Well, first, are you overweight? That excess weight can be pulling on your spine and causing the problem.
I think you should go to a good Chiropractor and get your back straightened out, it may take a few (2 or 3 adjustments )to get it straight. Then you will usually need maintenance either every month or 6 weeks.
I will say it is well worth the money. I have gone to the same Chiro for 28 years. I is amazing how you can walk in with pain and walk out with major improvement.
Do wall push aways and stretch your back muscles as much as you can. Lean on the kitchen counter with your hands and stand away about 2 feet with your feet flat on the floor. Lean into the counter for a slow count of 60, with will stretch the hamstring and leg muscles. Walking a couple of miles each evening is enormously helpful.
I have learned since retiring, the more inactive I am the worse I feel. I hope some of this helps.

You can try taking Dramamine but you need to take it before you get on the vessel, one hour prior. If you start feeling woozy.... get yourself to the outside and stare at a point on the horizon. This will get you immediate relief. Do NOT stare at the waves or into the water - you will probably cause yourself to vomit. Stale hot air is not good. Stay away from rooms with no windows. Candied ginger is a great remedy for motion sickness. It worked very well for me. Have some on hand. Stay away from hot beverages and rich foods. That will just make it worse. Ive seen lots of people try to sooth motion sickness with coffee and that's a huge mistake. Stay with eating light meals if you are hungry, or better yet, saltine crackers. Clear, cool, carbonated beverages such as 7-up are the best to drink. Take a nap if all else fails. Being tired always seems to magnify the problem. Now there are wrist bands with little beads on them that work like accupressure to alleviate motion sickness. I have seen this work for many people.

Now what happens when we don't get enough water our body suffers in different areas. This causes pain as the cartlidge is 80 % water, and when it is deficient in water it causes the other parts of the spine to rub together causing the pain.
so you must start putting more water into your body. A lot of vegetables have water in them as well. Our bodies are 85% water so half of your body weight in ounces of good filtered water per day. This will take some time to hydrate you because you did not get dehydrated over night. As for exercising keep your neck active, as much as possible do not keep your head in one spot. Good posture also helps, I would also suggest that you visit a chiropractor, they have certainly helped me in times past.
