My friend tried these and they had no affect. They dont make you lose weight they just get rid of water retention!! All a load of rubbish really and just a way of making money out of nothing for the company. Im watching what i eat and i have brought some herbal fat burning tablets from holland and barrat. These are brilliant and much better results. Dont expect it to work overnight though. Stick to a healthy diet and some excercise and your bound to see a difference.

No. No slimming tablet works. There are no 'cures' to being overweight or any miracle solutions.. All they are designed to do is make you feel full so you eat less (and make money for the manufacturers by fleecing gullible people). The only thing that works is a fresh food diet in moderation and moderate exercise. Use the money you would have spent on the pills and buy fresh fruit and veg and learn to cook with it. Anything else does not work.

In addition - about the Atkins diet - it only works because you eat a lot of protein (avoid the fried kind) and makes you feel full for longer and so don't eat so much. Plus protein takes more calories to digest than other food stuff. By the way, Dr Atkins was 18 stone when he died....the diet made him rich, but clearly didn't work for him...

Absolutely useless! Adios to £s but not to pounds!

Look around you if ANY of these things worked would we be getting so overweight?

We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.

Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?

I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!

No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way.

Slimming pills usually suppress your appetite, so you feel less hungry, and should therefore eat less. This doesn't work for a lot of overweight people because they don't actually eat when they are hungry- it is usually more of a habit, or convenience, or comfort. How often have you found yourself eating just because you see something that looks nice, or finishing everything on your plate, just out of habit. The best advice i can give you is to eat anything you want, but only when you are actually hungry. Focus on what you are eating, and stop when full. Bin any leftovers immediately, otherwise you are likely to sit and pick at them. Good luck, keep safe.

I tried the Holland and Barret tabs, but they didn't work for me. then i was recommended Adios tabs. i have been taking them for a month and I have lost 5lb!! along with a good diet, cereal for breakfast is a must, a good lunch then something light for my evening meal. it works for me but i have noticed that I get alot of wind with Adios, I'm flying kites at the moment! give them a go. the only £6.95 in Morrison's. but do some exercise too. swimming or cycling is the best exercise. Good luck xx

they dont work and taking other sorts of tablets that do work usually make you go for a dump after every meal, they are just laxatives and cause you to have bullimia as that is what you will end up basically doing. i done atkins u can actually eat and not feel bad about it and u dont hve to excercise much if u dont want to and the weight drops off like anything

They used to be called AIDS, serious, obviously not a good marketing idea, "lose a lot of weight with AIDS", they are really just a legal version of Amphetamines in that they speed up your metabolism, eat high water content foods such as fruit and veg, and that will help with your water intake

Good luck

I was desperate to lose weight and tried them and they did nothing for me :-( . I did find that a sensible diet and exercise worked the best, I think that the only way to lose weight is to do it the hard way.
Unfortunately the old saying "no pain, no gain" is true.
Good luck, I know how hard dieting can be!!

Easy answer is no, none of them work. The only real way loose weight is to take in less calories than you need.

Example, if you need 1000cals per day and you take in 2000cals you will put on weight, if you take in 900cals per day you will lose weight. Diets don't work, you have to change you eating patterns and habits, it really is that simple.

No!!! I've tried them time and time again with no results. My advice is to diet and exercise. The good old fashioned way. That's how I'm doing it now. I've wasted so much mony on weight loss pills but they don't work!
