Hi ppl, i have a valid H1 visa (Processed by my company) but have not visited US using it. Now i have applied for an F1 visa. Will the unused F1 work in favour of me or against ?

Do you actually have the Approval Notice (I 797) for your H-1B? Do you have a visa stamp in your passport that says H-1B? If not, you don't officially have it yet.

Either way, the F-1 shouldn't matter. Just let your school know that you're not coming and send the I-20 back to them.

You don't really need the F1 Visa. Come to the US on your H1 visa, get married, and then file for an adjustment in immigration status.
