Fear is an apprehension of mis-happening against which we are ill-prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, materially.....
As a human being, we all have limitations in one form or the other; like in a given situation, if we perform to the best of our efforts, resources and sincerity; we - as a human - can't do better than that. And time always keep moving and gives us very limited option to re-do many things, or improve upon them. So the apprehension of not getting the result or outcome as per our sweet will makes us fear. Now the problem in the process leading to fear is identified - human limitations at times, within or outside our control. Now with these limitations, you have performed or acted at any given time, then stay prepared for any result - being not ill prepared mentally. Fear will subside - by practising this aspect.
To top up, if you are also a believer of destiny over human actions / happenings, the chances of fearing will go down much faster.

It is not possible to be fearless in totallity. U need strength of mind to carry on life against all fears. It is not security of money, police, security guards, family members which will make u fearless. It is ur ability to connect with God when u feel fear or otherwise in any situation, that u will be peaceful. U will feel the protection of God, the Almighty, which will work wonders in ur life. I give u an example, when u r driving alone and u feel that somebody is following u, just give this auto-suggestion to urself repeatedly: I am blessed with Divine Protection ( as many times as possible) U will notice that the follower disappears. When u go to bed, repeat this auto suggestion before u fall asleep. This way u will feel that u are always protected. Do not test it. Just do it with faith and u will receive protection. When u know that u r protected, u will stop feeling fear consciously. I wish u all the best.

One way to overcome our own fears is to give fearlessness to others. The following passage is from Introduction to Buddhism:
To give fearlessness is to protect other living beings from fear or danger. For example, if we rescue someone from a fire or from some other natural disaster, if we protect others from physical violence, or if we save animals and insects who have fallen into water or who are trapped, we are practicing giving fearlessness.
If we are not able to rescue those in danger, we can still give fearlessness by making prayers and offerings so that they may be released from danger. We can also practice giving fearlessness by praying for others to become free from their delusions, especially the delusion of self-grasping, which is the ultimate source of all fear.

Being fearless is not what a good goal I'd say - our fears are there to protect us, what you want to do is Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway - that's the name of a really good book on this subject by Susan Jeffers. Well worth a read!

I guess you would have to exist in a different reality where fear is not needed. Fear is a defensive mechanism that helps ensure self preservation. On this planet, in this universe, and in this reality we are just not safe. I think what you want to attain is bravery or courage because both suppress but recognize fear. Try asking how to manifest either one of those.

Have you seen the "yes man" yet? Practicing the behaviors that you see as selfless or fearless will start the ball rolling. Continue practicing them long enough, and they will become a part of who you are. Best of luck!

FACE IT!!!no big deal..evry1 has fear it depends on how u react,,wel i had stage fear but when i did seminars n speeches, they(speeches) came out really wel,,ppl even askd me whether i don get afraid ,,but only i knew how i used to tremble with fear before giving a speech..after the speech was over i felt "how stupid of me,i felt afraid for this??"
so i think the same logic applies for most of the things in life
things that seem to frighten u will just vanish away once u give them a dirty stare..
