I think I would prefer a guy who plays sport but I would still like him to have some brains.

Being a woman, I can personally say that I would prefer a guy with good grades because it means he's intelligent and is going to go somewhere in life as a result. It all depends on the maturity level of the woman though, because younger girls are going to go for the good-looking guys instead.

Both, I want a guy who plays sports because if they don't have good grades then they can't play sports. I don't need him to have a straight GPA, all I want for him is to at least have the GPA that is required to play sports.

i'm a dude but i'll give you the answer anyways.
girls who are not thinking in their own best interest will go after the most popular sports-playin-guy they can get.
girls who have any sense at all will find the guy who will be a doctor and be in a position to support a family and treat those around him well as he gets older.
you shouldn't be worried about the ones who aren't interested in you, whatever category you fall into, because they aren't worth your time anyways.

i think that a good guy would have a good balance between the two. sports would show that you are athletic, most likely in shape, and strong. however, it is such a big turn off to date a guy that is completely stupid. its like dating 4th grader. but its also a turn off to date a guy that is a total braniac. then you may intimidate the girls and may come off as a show off if you talk about ALL that you know.

It depends on what type of girl she is. If she is the sporty type, she will most prob like the someone with the same interest. And same goes for the studios type of guy.
I personnally like the creative, broading and witty type of guy. Actually personality is also very important.
If I find a sporty guy to be sttractive cause of his abs and pec, but he mighe be a complete bore cause he will bore me to death with his jock talks.

i would flirt with a guy who played sports but i would go steady with a intelligent guy.... smart guys are more mature, they treat you better because they dont have the ego's jocks have, also smart guys tend to be better lovers, because they are gentle and patient and get pleasure out of pleasing their girls, unlike jocks who want it fast and want it soon...

I most of the sports guys i know are all into themselves but i totally LOVE a guy that is smart...that's hott.
