I would suggest getting the vaccine because it is no fun to have chicken pox and you can spread it to older people who can get very sick from it. You dont get immune to it like you would if you actually got chicken pox, but it will likely work for at least ten years. It used to be that once you had the vaccine you didnt need another one, but doctors are now suggesting that people get vaccinated every 10 or so years. My siblings have got the vaccine and none of them have ever got the chicken pox yet.

you should probably get it to be on the safe side. getting chicken pox as an adult causes far more severe symptoms than as a child. up to 90 percent of people who get the vaccine will not contract chicken pox. but there are some risks associated with the vaccine if you have certain allergies or are under some medical treatments. the best advice it to contact your doctor to discuss it. but all in all it should do more good than bad.
good luck

Yes, get the vaccine right away. Children and adults who have not had a case of chicken pox really owe it to the rest of the world, besides for their own safety. Chicken pox is deadly to those with HIV, AIDS..............totally deadly. You could GET chicken pox as an adult, and end up with facial scarring that you probably do not want.
