no you can't.
they closed this loophole last year to avoid people paying less. Even if you have free prescriptions in England you are not allowd unless its a prescription for a life threatening illness like asthma and you would have to pay England prices.

Don't think so. When prescriptions are dispensed the completed prescription form is sent by the chemist to the appropriate prescription pricing authority, that which cover the area in which the prescribing doctor is.So the form would end up in England, and the Pricing authority would deduct the amount paid to the chemist by the amount of the dispensing fee they would have expected him to collect.So the chemist would be out of pocket and it is unlikely he would dispense an English doctors prescription without collecting a fee from you.If you are Welsh you only have get a prescription from your Welsh based doctor and there is no problem. If on the other hand you are living in England with an English based doctor you are trying to fiddle the system illegally.

No you wont be able to. And prescriptions in Wales arnt free yet, just cheaper than in England, they cost £3 unless your under 25 or a pensioner or are for some other reason exempt from paying.

I understand that the prescriptions in Wales will be printed in Welsh and English...thus adding to the cost of printing them.
This is to prevent the English from crossing into Wales and getting the drugs and medicines they require for free.

Well i live in wales and our chemist is very fussy they wouldnt let my inlaws who moved to England collect their perscriptions here.

Its my understanding that you must live and be registered by a Welsh doctor surgery.
