Lets see my ex chatted to this chick online for about 2 mths using webcam, and after meeting her for about less than 4 weeks he got engaged to her, while this was happening he was still with me, so yeah I guess you can "get to know someone" via this method...

It may help but to me I have to meet and see someone in person to get to really know them...online chatting is never 100% safe for anyone, a person can say anything online...

i wouldnt advice online dating though,because they are freaks online am not saying am a freak though but this is not a better site to know someone and you cant even get to know the personality or chracter the person has so u have to be careful on what to do online especially when its comes to dating

yes it could be but the woman still doesnt exactly know all about u and u could be actig nice and sweet on the webcam but then in real life can change to something more dangerous

It takes weeks, or even months, to "get to know" someone online. It only takes 5 minutes in person to figure out that you're not attracted to them.

Maybe, but I have to warn you that I was watching tv one time and saw this report on how most people don't buy webcams for innocent purposes. A lot of people buy webcams for sexual purposes, so please be careful.

It makes sure that you have a physical attraction to them, which is needed in a successful relationship.
