What you mean is that you're having frightening dreams. This usually means that you have something stressing you in life and that you are probably tired.
If the effects you are experiencing are flashing coloured lights which are worst in the dark then this is perfectly normal. This flickering is caused by lack of sleep.
Purely and simply, you're not getting enough shut-eye. try a relaxed bed time routine. Have a bath with some soothing bubbles (try Johnson's baby bedtime bath). Relax your body slowly bit by bit in bed. Shut out all noise and light (earplugs, eye mask). Go to bed at 10pm every night for a week and you should be fine at the end of the week.

Speak to your GP, he or she can do more to help than we can. It might just be that you are stressed out just now, and the more you worry about your dreams and lack of sleep, the worse it gets. I wonder how long its been going on, how it started, whats going on in your life just now. Anyway, hope you feel better soon. By the way, I like the way you asked the question. You must have realised that a lot of people wouldn't get it though.

i think i understand your question. you do not take LSD, at nite, but you feel like your on LSD. if that is correct, my layman's explanation of dreams are unresolved conflict, in you daily life that represents itself in a dream form at nite. you may want to research dreams on the Internet, and do not eat before you go to bed, such as spicy foods, etc, which can cause a person to have very vivid dreams. stress and anxiety can sometimes cause disturbing dreams. see if you can pinpoint any stress or anxiety in your life, that you are having difficulty with. if you do, perhaps seeing a counselor may help and discussing it with a GP good luck to you

Methadone and professional help are going to be your best bet. Also don't give up on rehap because it usually takes a few tries before it sticks that you really can't live long taking LSD every night. Goodluck and if doesn't work out atleast you know you'll get plenty of sleep soon enough.

Try listening to some soothing music before you nod off. Don't eat cheese, chocolate or drink anything with caffine in. Dont drink alcohol and have a nice hot milky drink and a warm bath.
Sounds very boring but if you want a good nights kip, give it a try.

I have the same thing happen when I take a handful of calcium antacid tablets, or just a vitamin B supplement before bedtime.
I often watch the Hitler (AKA History) channel before bedtime. I wish I had a medal for every night I've single-handedly destroyed the entire NAZI Army!

stop taking LSD!
Start taking vitamin B12. You need to give time for the stuff to get out of your system, or the dreams will continue.

quit taking any form of sleep medication you are on. if this does not apply to you, check yourself into a psychiatric hospital because youre about to have a mental break (meaning you will become psychotic until you are precribed an anti-psychotic). if there is a history of schizophrenia or other mental illnesses in your family you probably inherited something.
