...because some people will always find fault in such matters, and most people will only give emotional feedback, rather than intelligent advice.

I mean, wouldn't it be better if you consulted your closest friends or parents if you really need advice regarding your personal life? Why should such questions be asked on a public forum, where nobody knows or cares about you?

I don't ask those private questions, but I think people do because there's safety in anonymity. Also, its a no-skin-off-their-nose situation - they can ask a question and see what they get for answers/opinions. Some people don't want to ask the people in their lives this type of thing.

I think, too, it isn't exactly correct that people don't care about the people who have asked the question. When I've chosen to try to answer a question I care very much about that invisible person who has asked the question just while I'm answering - and if they "threw out" a question just to see what they get back for answers, getting a few caring answers isn't such a bad return.

You assume that none of us care, in that assumption your wrong, I care very much in helping someone, sometimes your family gives you the same old answer and so does your Friends, but here you can come on as an unknown and ask personnel questions that won't get back to them and help them in ways you may not see. They don't have to go to a physic couch and pay money and believe it or not there is some good advice here. But just like doctors who give out good advise only 1% will follow it, but if one person gets helped with one question is it not worth it to try?

sometimes our friends and family members themselves can't help us out of troubles. It is in such a situation that people seek the helping hand of some others. it is not at all wrong if they put out their personal matters on this forum coz nobody knows anybody.it is just a casual human gesture that people try to give advice to those who require it.everybody who answers might not give an intelligent advice but you see something is better than nothing!also it gives the people in trouble a feeling of security and togetherness. So there is nothing wrong in discussing one's personal matters on this forum as long as they are not being misused!.
sometimes it better to share our deepest and darkest secrets with someone we don't know at all.

hope i was clear .

I've no idea- but a lot of people do genuinely seem to want to help and share their own experiences.
Some people are private, some completely open and then they are the huge range in between.

All advice is good- it's up tot the recipient to filter out that which is most relevant.

To know opinions of others all around the world....you can't tell your personal problems to 10/9 (or more) of your friends and act up on the best advice. Besides...not everyone here are idiots ok.
And anyways....if you ask strangers it'll be easier to find the fault that your friends/families were too afraid to tell you coz you might get hurt.

Sometimes your friends and family are protecting their own motives and whats. Its nice to be able to ask for advice form peopel who are not emotionally attached to you so that you can have an "objective" answer.

Also, emotional feedback it not all bad.

Wisdom is where you see it.

Because outside advice is sometimes better than someone that you know, you get unbias advice.

Yes some people's advice doesnt work, but that doesnt mean that everyone's advice doesnt work

The people only give advice it is up to you to take it or to leave it

You get to see things out of another point of view which you never even consider.

People like to share their problems in hopes to find someone who has gone through something similar and can offer some advice and support.

Either way it goes it's ADVICE. And what it boils down to is: you're going to do what you you want to do anyway. So it really doesn't matter.

SOME PEOPLE JUST WANT THE MAJORITY OPINION. AND THERE ARE OTHERS THAT HAVE FOUND SOLUTIONS TO THEIR PROBLEMS HERE,

Your question has been the stupidest I've heard so far and if you don't think the site is worthy then why are you here?
