I am single, unmarried and have no dependents. I have no Federal or State Taxes withheld. I just need to claim the EIC. Which would be the most appropriate form to fill out - 1040A or 1040EZ? All your help is appreciated. Thank you!!

You can use Form 1040-EZ if you do not have any dependents. You need to fill out Schedule EIC to claim the credit.

Your question lacks a lot of information. If you are single or married and have no children you can file the 1040EZ with only W-2 income and if the limits are met you receive EIC. If you have children you will have to use 1040A. Get the instruction booklet for 1040A and read the instructions pertaining to EIC.

If you have no dependents, you can use any form -- 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ. If you have dependents, you must use 1040 or 1040A.

It depends on where your earned income came from, but if it's wages, you can get by with the EZ. If you operated a business, you would need to go with the 1040 and Schedule C. If it came from a farm, you would need a Schedule F instead of the C.
