Nope. You need AT LEAST 1 gb of ram, 2 would be better. The 2.0 ghz cpu, if it's a single core, is going to be hurting too.

For the first time, Microsoft has actually set the requirements for it's OS at a reasonable limit. What you have to remember is that you'll be running alot more than just Windows. Antivirus, web browsers, word processors, games, photo/video editors, music/video players, cd/dvd/etc. burners, networking, etc., etc., etc.; it all adds up.

Bah, dont listen to them, what you have there will run it no problems, you wont be able to run any good games but you will be able to do basic computer tasks like web browsing, word processing and listening to music and other stuff. Anyone who says otherwise has no clue as i have it running with less than what you have there. You do need minimum of 512mb of ram and a 1GHz cpu but 1gb of ram is needed for games and a cpu like what you have there will be fine (as long as it isnt a celeron). You will also want a proper video card (not an onboard one) to use the vista aero theme which is the 3D one with the transparencies

windows vista sucks!, now the windows as being a friendly OS is fading...windows vista is just a combination of different aspects of softwares...IT IS A PACKAGE...so you need a lot of RAM...minimum by 1GB...
