Hi, I'm moving from SF to NYC.
My stuff is not that much to use the moving company, I won't bring any furniture with me to NYC. But It's too much to pack it all in suitcases, and the airport has a weight limit.
Is there any other options?

The airline itself does have a weight limit for checked luggage; however, you can make arrangements to send the rest of it via cargo on that same airline. It is not as expensive as excess luggage, especially now that the airlines are limiting domestic passengers to 50 pounds. Give your airline a call to see what the rules are, as they differ from carrier to carrier (e.g., Southwest requires that you are a "registered shipper," which takes some extra paperwork up front). Amtrak also allows for cargo shipping, and is cheaper in many instances.

If 0.5 the kinfolk approves of the move, and that's more less expensive for a extra greater room, i could say, opt for it. Getting extra for his funds could be an progression to his existence. Now how about the foodstuff? Are they complete foodstuff or snacks. Do they get fruit daily. And what about pill dispension. Is someone in cost of that, to get rid of blunders. some places have the overseeing of an RN. yet as well many places won't be able to have the funds for the amenities. And does the dispenser of the pills, positioned on rubber gloves for sanitary causes? there's a lot to guage in the previous you displace him. make efficient he can manage the transition, so he would not get afraid after transferring. I have a chum, who died 2 days after her move. She became treated badly by technique of crew in that wing, and she went right into a catatonic concepts set. And did not understand her daughter. and then she died the subsequent day. So weigh issues intently.

I don't know if this would work in the U.S., but I have moved across Canada a couple of times by sending packages to myself through the post office. This has cost me about $700 - $1000 Canadian, with about a dozen reasonably large boxes (2 cu. ft. boxes from self-storage company).

For this method to work, you need to send the boxes a few at a time, and must have a "receiving address" at the other end, such as your new job, or a friend or relative who is willing to pick up the boxes and hold them for you until you arrive. It also forces you to prioritize what is really important to you, and what you are willing to "let go of", when you pay by the box to send your stuff.

Good Luck!
