If you are supposed to be a chirstian, meaning "christ like," are you really being like Christ? Could you take up your cross and die on it, knowing you would rise again 3 days later? Could you really? Can you cause miracles and walk on water? Sincerely think about this one.

Christian means follower of Christ not Christ-like. The Christians number one goal should be to develop a close relationship with Jesus and God. The close to God they become the better their behavior and thinking process.
By-the-way, I have witnessed miracles. I know of someone who prayed for another and the person they prayed for had a lost eye restored. I've been there when the doctor stumbled over why a cancer just disappeared. These things do happen but they are not the reason we follow Christ.

We can't perform a physical drill and claim to be Christ. There are lot of things that have gone in the making of the Christ.
If a person commits suicide and leaves a note claiming to have done that for humanity, I can only say- May his soul rest in peace.

To take up the Cross and follow Jesus sometime means doing just that, but I won't lie and say I could do that without some powerful help from the Lord Himself. But I do believe that the day is coming when we will see some marvelous miracles in the church. Especially since we are at the end of this age.

There have been no followers of Christ since He returned to heaven. Many times before He left He informed his followers that they would need to follow the Holy Spirit residing within them. Therefore, anyone trying to be christlike is doomed to hypocrisy.

To be Christlike implies to be like Jesus in how He conducted His life respectively. He was loving, compassionate, and forgiving. He sought to do the Father's will in all things. He lived by the fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23). And so should we.

God nor Jesus call for believers to "pass the test of authenticity" by walking on water.. or hanging on a cross, dying and resurrecting again.
Jesus said that the one thing that makes christians christians is if they love one another.
you see how difficult that has been, right? but its not the end yet so that is still to come.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Well, that's the point of having faith in religion. It's not a freaking high school science project. Religion is not science but it is kind of a precursor to modern science. It was first step for human to imagine unseen forces and influences beyond our naked eyes. Imagine how would you go about explaining lightning if SCIENCE didn't exist right now. Have a little respect for that. They know religion is not science. No one in right mind thinks that.

Christ like does not mean to relive His foot steps that was for Him alone as the great sacrifice for us all. It mean to try and live a perfect life but being human we rely on His grace and forgiveness. We all fall short of the glory of God but rely on His forgiveness to get us to Heaven.
