Rip Up Pregnant Women
"Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up." (Hosea 13:16)
Throughout the Bible, God smites those who do not believe in him or those who do not follow his commands. Here we have the grotesque description of infants dashed to pieces and pregnant women ripped up. Whatever rebellious nature an infant's father or mother may have had, it bears no justice to an innocent child or to an unborn fetus who could not possibly have rebelled against God, much less understood him.
Anyone who claims to love such a God, must accept infanticide as one of God's ugly revenges.

Punter: Why do you allow yourself to come down to same level of those, who laugh at your religion, for ? Are you not playing into the hands of the non-believers, who will read what you are posting on this site and laugh at your religion ?
There are those who are not Christians, who want to get you mad - they pretend to be "Christians" and only make trouble for you Muslims and for Christians. You seem to have a very good knowledge of what Bible scripture says. You should know, that there are false Christians too. North America is not "Christian nations", as you can see. People here, worship themselves and money. There are some Christians though, who live in North America, and they would not argue and fight with you and your Muslim beliefs. Peace to you.

You can get the Bible to say anything if you take it out of context.
Hosea was a prophet. He wasn't telling the people what God wants them to do. He was telling the people that if they turn away from God and do not seek His protection, then that's what the foreign invaders will do to the women and babies of Israel.
Chapter 14 is all about how if they repent and return to God that won't happen.
It's like you telling your child if you let go of my hand and run out in traffic you'll be killed. You're not the one who kills them.

Punter!

You shame us!

Remember the pact?
"We Muslims will stick together in religious forums and deny any and all accusations against Islam.

If someone makes statements against Mohammad (Pbuh), or the Holy Qu' ran, if we find them, we will exact vengeance upon them with the blessings of Allah.

If an argument is made against our religion, then we are bound to say whatever it takes, even a lie, to defend it."

Remember this, Punter???

You are dangerously close to us stoning you at the next board meeting.

its not saying that you should rip up pregnant women. it is saying quite forcefully that samaria will fall in war and be destroyed because of its guilt. the reason its being so "colourful" in its language is because of the very next verse:

"Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled in your iniquity. Take words with yourselves and return to the Lord. Say, "You shall forgive all iniquity and teach us the good way, and let us render for bulls the offering of our lips."

its saying that if israel does not return to the "good way" then it will suffer the same fate as samaria. and then it goes on to make flowery promises of the rewards of returning to the "good way." -

"I will remedy their backsliding; I will love them freely, for My wrath has turned away from them. I will be like dew to Israel, they shall blossom like a rose, and it shall strike its roots like the Lebanon. Its branches shall go forth, and its beauty shall be like the olive tree, and its fragrance like the Lebanon. Those who dwelt in its shade shall return; they shall revive like corn and blossom like the vine; its fragrance shall be like the wine of Lebanon. Ephraim; What more do I need the images? I will answer him and I will look upon him: I am like a leafy cypress tree; from Me your fruit is found. Who is wise and will understand these, discerning and will know them; for the ways of the Lord are straight, and the righteous shall walk in them, and the rebellious shall stumble on them."

and of course it is hosea 14:3 is (bull offerings of the lips) one of the more famous verses used to show that G-d prefers simple repentance rather than sacrifices.

So according to that analogy If I warn someone that if they drink and drive that they will kill an innocent child.

I am now responsible for that child's death?

How dose that make any sense?
