no a questionof risk it is hapening and there is little hope of us being able to stop it

Global warming is a very complex collection of many effects

this text is limited to effects of people in the country, industrial effects on the environment and the internal combustion engine as well as the over all effects of cities and the ozone part of global warming,is another story,

climate change is caused partly by desertification ,and most desertification is caused by man
the thinner ozone layer helps to speed this up.and this is caused mainly by air polution ,also as a result of mans actions

there are natural cycles in the planets life
but a lot is influenced by mans existance ,and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert,

,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.

collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,

each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss

and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
and there are 70 million more peole every year that have to eat and drink and wash

who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing

RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.

Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.

SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

Preventive measures and awareness are the best way to stop the risks of global warming. If all people in the world stop burning harmful garbages, uses alternative fuel instead chemicals and are fully aware of the danger of global warming, I think the risk of global warming will greatly minimized.

Well, for one thing, more efficient use of Gasoline. I can Prove that Regular Pump Gasoline can safely be converted to a cool burning Propane, with an Air to Fuel Ratio of 100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. My Avatar is a Photo of just such a Device, Ignited to Prove it actually Works. This has the Potential to enable even the Largest SUV to get 50 + MPG, and, more Importantly, Emit 10 Times less Polluting Exhaust Emissions. And thanks to Big Oil, and Big Government, it's illegal to even attempt to do so on any Vehicle in the USA from ' 96 to the Present ! Don't believe it ? Go to http://energy21.freeservers.com/bookrep.html and, at least Read the First Page. Then, go to My 360 Page, for an even better Photo, and Read the 'Blog. If You really care about the Environment, this will make You Question Everything ! By Spreading the Word, I Hope to at least get a few People interested. You can forget about any "Get-Rich-Quick" Schemes with Vapor Fuel Technology, 'cause it ain't gonna happen !

The Earth has always been able to reset it's thermostat, but with the stripping of forest and run-off of top soils, less plants to convert CO2 to O2, millions of acres of forest burning, volcano ash, industrial gases, auto emissions, and global dust storms,............the Earth WILL get a fever. Can we really stop or slow down the global warming? I seriously doubt it. Man has staked a claim and the only way for the Earth to get over it's fever is to become a more undesirable place to exist, we're in for a rough ride.

Risks?
Stop calling it global warming; what happened to global cooling about 20 years ago.
Reject the politicization of science (look how many scientists are saying; hey there some money in this pop science stuff after all!).
Start thinking with your brain instead of being fed a bunch of crap from the ‘Inventor of the Internet’ and his groupies.

You can't stop global warming. If there were no humans the planet would still be warming. Humans may be a contributor to global warming -- to what extent is uncertain. The best we could possibly hope for is to slow the warming if we're contributing to it. We can't stop it.

I think we already have a lot of awareness of the issue.

While a few idiots may be going around saying it's not going to happen or that it will be good for us or some such crap most of the population is seeing right through their bullshit.

What has to be done is to get the problem solved and to start on what we can do now.

1. We need to eliminate our dependency on oil-driven automobiles very very quickly.

2. We need to stop the cutting down the trees including the rain forests around the world.
