Depends on your job and the total members of the opposite sex that reside on your post. I am stationed in Germany, and getting across the language and culture barrier is too much of a hassle. Many soldiers here feel that way. So to avoid it, most American troops tend to stick together. Having said that, the ratio of men to women at this post is 4:1, so speaking a little german never hurts.

Of corse they do, overseas and at home bases, far as I remember they join the Armed forces not a Monks and Nuns order.

Like any work place rules apply, off hours are yours, except, you must keep it with in the ranks, officers to offices enlisted to enlisted, no crossing.

Yep they sure do. Considering my granparents are both marines and met each other while serving and got married on a military base. Things have not changed much when it comes to this subject

The military is just like civilian life for dating except there are a few more rules. ie: Officers and enlisted can not date stuff like that.
