My pregnant cat had a distened abdomen this morning, but when I came home, she didn't?

I cannot find any kittens, and she is still behaving as if she is ready to give birth soon. What happened?

she might only have 1 or 2 kittens in her that has moved down to the birth canal.

she has still got a couple kittwns but not many still in her ready too come. just leave her alone and her extincts will follow her
