Hello All,
I recently went to an Alan Ames healing session in a Catholic Church and I was amazed that the Catholics were promoting an evangelist (healer) of this kind. My question is, how can people take seriously a man no different than themselves and believe he has conversations with angels, Mary, Jesus and God himself to which they reply?
At the end of the day I believe that people are going to faint when they believe something like that so much. Where do we draw the line, cults have these sorts of practices and events which yield the same results?
Do evangalists healers take advantage of people or do you believe that God really runs through them more than yourself?

Personally, I, as a Christian, have my suspicions about such types. Usually, the "cat" gets let out of the "bag" after a period of time and these types tend to get caught with their hands in the "cookie jar". All this tends to do is to give Christians and Christianity a "black eye". There are people out there, who make a good living off of religion - namely, those who twist Bible scripture to suit their own, ends. Jesus Christ fore-warned His church in saying that, many will come in My name ... even, it would be possible to deceive the very elect. Expect a lot of "wolves in sheep's clothing" (false prophets) to arrive on the scene - especially, as things begin to really change in this world in terms of weather, war, and economy. The real, true and genuine Christian will be able to "see" right through all of this in spite of the masses claim to the contrary. By their "fruits" you will know them !

The heaven has given us the Holy Spirit, through whom we can hear instruction or comfort from Heaven. This is the fact in the new testament era.
No need of oral conmverastioan with angels etc.
Everybody claims to talk orally to heavenly figures nowadays must have been deceived by Satan, pity on them.

Some authentic faith healers do indeed exist.

And many desperately ill people are willing to believe or try almost anything to become well.

Lots of potential for abuse.
