since it is said that so many boxing matches are fixed, they probably pay the fans as well and that is why they watch it...lol! and maybe those fans simply enjoy the fast paced, all out punching of air and the opponents gloves...doesn't that sound exciting! MMA is the future of combat sports...no question about it!

98 percent of the time an MMA fighter of the same weight will beat a boxer of the same weight. Reason being...boxers have more punching power, but have no ground game. A boxer is not trained to defend a take down, nor perform a take down. Saying boxing is boxing isn't exciting is a lie though. Boxing can be very exciting, Micky Ward vs Aturo Gatti for example, they have 2 fights that are some of the best fights of all time as far as I am concerned. I do find MMA fights to be more exciting though, and I would love to see a boxer step up and fight MMA, but the boxer would have to do a lot of training to even stand a chance against a not top of the line MMA fighter, let alone a champion or contender. The person who said that MMA fighters are not martial artists needs to get their head examined. If you watch the first few UFC's that may enter your head, but MMA has grown and now showcases the best fighters in the world, not just the best punchers. Boxers wouldn't even stand a chance in K1 fighting, but would have a better shot than full out MMA.

MMA? haha! Thats just a bunch of grown men, most of which are not even martial artist's, pounding each other into the ground.
At least there is an art and sport to Boxing. And as far as boxing not being exciting? Thats laughable, the Barrera fights are some of the most exciting boxing matches I ever seen.

I like female mma .. The best is Hisae Watanabe. Shes gorgeous and well hard.Boxing is ok if you get a good fight.Best fights ever were Jeff Harding and Dennis Andries.That was like real life Rocky.

well not everyone has the lack of intelligence that you display asking this question.why do ppl watch wwf and fake wrestling?we all know its put on.they do it because its thier choice and they like it regardless of what it lacks or not?and what is your brain dead opinion based on?another play station game?or is it nintendo.you just go and sit in your armchair watch another massdebation match play another game and youll be even more of an expert than you are now.
