It is hard to talk about one Wester"nized" Christianity since there are so many forms. I would say that much Christian Fundamentalism is a reaction to Deconstructionism. However, if strict Deconstructionist theology is the extreme on one side and Fundamentalism is an extreme on the other, then the truth is probably in the middle. Usually how things work.

Well deconstruction of many things in western society certainly affects Christianity in the sense that it is something that Christians deal with and react to. As to pure indestructible Christianity it has no affect whatsoever, the deconstructors shall waste away but He will last forever.

The name of the journal I am speaking of is " The Intercollegiate Review" the article is a review of " My life Among the Deathworks: Illustrations of the Aesthetics of Authority by Philip Reiff, the review is entitled The End of Criticism and it is written by R.R. The original 'good-news' (Gospel) was handed down in the East. Then it was brought to the West and rationalize there, such that the original essence had been washed away. Hence the Gospel become merely a religion (Christian).
The genuine Gospel speaks about the Kingdom of God instead of Churches and religion etc.
I shout everywhere: "BACK TO JESUS!"
