Long story, but I like a guy and things were going well until some compeition appeared. I have been advised by his friends to 'step up my game', does anyone have suggestions on how?

You should never compete for a man. His friends are telling you this , why? So they can have fun watchin you throw yourself at this guy?! Be yourself. If he likes her better, its his loss. Let him be.

You don't have to step up your game just be yourself.That's if your a nice person if not then-well-you know.If he loves you he won't care about your game if he's a player then go out with me and I'll take a look at your game and then we can play some sports games and see how much game you have then.
