The USA is known to be the last Super Power on earth, the problem, as I see it is their 'Super Powers' are not the right sort of powers to win the kind of wars we are faced with today. Against a traditional army the Americans have the advanced fire power to win hands down, however, they are not and probably never will be again facing a traditional army. The sort of wars we now face require diplomacy, a degree of respect (that's a hard one for the west) and a far more long term, softly softly approach. Having said all that - surely we're in the state we're in today because of America's baffling decision to invade Iraq - isn't this what has caused the current problems - along with their continuing support of Israel etc. I think modern warfare needs to evolve and that weapons and big guns should not be America's first and only resort. Thankfully, with over 3,000 dead GI's, the American public is coming round to the idea that maybe they're not quite so great afterall and that there must be another less bloody way to resolve differences and with the current US Administration on it's way out we can hopefully all dare to hope!
PS, America is a great country, they just haven't got the President they deserve.

America will destroy the world? Gimme a break!
people who think america are the bad guys need some serious help, maybe a shrink or mental institution would help....
Why would we destroy the world... Where´s the profit in that?
the only problem i can see, is that we help people as long as it helps us. and what´s so wrong with that.
you get your freedom, and we get an ally and make lots of money. now, you´ll be making lots of money as well. look back in history at all the counrties we were at war with, and where we stayed and where we left. you´ll find that the countries where we stayed, (Japan, Germany, S. Korea) are all now rocking economies with some of the highest standards of living in the world. and the countries we left, Vietnam, somalia, hopefully not Iraq) all went to hell when we left.
It´s the crazy people blowing themselves up in markets that are the bad guys. NOT the USA
-by the way, IRAQ not IRAK,

Well I don't look at it your way, but I can understand how you might come to that conclusion!
The current lame duck administration is pretty well on its way out, however, Bush is just itching to attack Iran!
I don't want us to rule the world. That is how empires fall! I would just like to live in peace with no one dying for a change!
But you have to admit, you probably look at us like the "bad" guys, and currently you are right if you are talking about the current administration, and you look at yourself as a good guy! There are a lot of bad people in this world. That is what money and power does to people. The rich just can't get enough! Like someone who makes over 10 million a year, and there are 10,000 of them, can't make it on 7 million a year!

MMMMM let's see here.
In Iran the people attend large gatherings to listen to their president or the shaw and chant Praise Allah, and Death to America. Iran talks about wiping Israel off the map and making the West submit to Islam. And treatens with using the bomb when they get it.
In America we go to Iraq and take a genocidal murder out of power and set up a democracy so people can live free lives and not worry about being killed in masses for their beliefs.
America gives more aid and disaster relief to the rest of the world than all the other countries combined do.
Yeah -- your right America is the Evil Satan of the world. OK you win. We should bring all our soldiers home from everywhere, stop helping everyone and cut our trade with the outside world to a minimum. Then see how you feel about us.

Well, lets just say that diplomacy & subtle pressure work better in the long run than invasion.

We were attacked by these crazy people that were living and training in Iraq, we have the right to defend ourselves. I find it amazing that people forget that we were attacked first and that we are only responding to a nation that trains and protects terrorists. If there are other nations out there that train and protect terrorists, then I hope we can find them and level their country also. I am so sick of people wanting our help, our money and then bad mouthing us. They are ungrateful jerks!
