First off congrats on the new kittens. I would get 2 male kittens. I say that because I have 2 males and I haven't had a problem with either of them spraying. Get the kittens fixed at 6 months old.

I think it's a great idea to adopt two kittens (about the same age) together. They're not like puppies--they don't need a lot of training, so it's not hard at all, they'll really enjoy each other's company. I've gotten two boys together, and then a boy and a girl, and I haven't ever had a problem. Your vet will probably recommend that you have them fixed at 5 to 6 months. (Even if you keep them indoors all the time, which I hope you will, you want to get both of them fixed no matter what sex they are, because females that aren't fixed are very loud and kind of messy when they're in heat, and males who aren't fixed tend to spray all over the place.) Good luck and have fun with your kitties!

It's good that you are getting two kittens right off. I got only one, and she gets bored and lonesome sometimes, though I play with her a lot. I would guess you're best off adopting two female cats. I think male cats tend to cause more problems like spraying. Keep your cats indoors and you won't have to worry about babies, but if you get girls and they go into heat, you'll want to get them spayed so they are not yowling all night. I am not sure what age that is, because I adopted my cat from the Humane Society and they didn't know her exact age.
Adopt your babies from the Humane Society instead of buying them, and you'll be saving two little lives.

In the past, Ive always had all females together or all males together. I dont think it matters about the sex, because they all come with their own personalities. I do know for a fact that if cats are happy, they usually dont spray or act out. Make sure you dont make any drastic changes(moving food dishes or the litter pan, changing type or brand of food or litter abruptly) They are like children. They need structure to feel secure. I hope this helps you! Good luck with your new kittens.

I personally suggest getting two boy kittens. I have had the most success with two boy cats and if you get them at the same time you will have less alpha male issues. You will still need to get them fixed so they don't spray. My personal experiences are that boy cats are more friendly and more likely to be lap cats. Good luck.

well be nice and awesome if you did get a male and female like a brother and sister by having them growning up together . But if youre planning to get them sprayed i think its good ideas to do that early when theyre like 10 or 12 months before they get younger ages . if you are planning to have them to have own kittens some day when they do get older maybe like 4 -5 year old are more better cause its easy to take care of when theyre still young adault cats . i have a male adult cat and he is fixed , i dont want him making other females cats having kittens cause hes very old old cat and i had him least 16 years now. and i also have a white female cat but she already pregranted by other cat .

As long as you get them fixed, the sex of the kittens doesn't matter as long as they're the same age. Get your vet's best advice on when to have the surgery performed, but I think 6 months would be the longest you'd want to wait.

It really dont matter if they are both males, females or one of both but I will suggest that you get them fixed by 4 months if you get a female and a male.My cat went into heat a 4 months and a stray cat that stays in my yard got here pregnant when my son brought him in for a minute while I was cooking.
