Can I still get a tat or piercing if I scar badly? Like, I have alot of scars and they don't go away, they're hypertrophic, they don't hurt, they're not big but they've been there for a year. Can i still get pierced or tatted?

I would ask a tattoo artist. All you have to do is go in a tattoo parlor and ask. If they are good they will answer.

Ofcourse you can. It just means if you were to ever get rid of the piercing, you will have a more visible scar of it than most people. A tattoo Im not too sure, but i dont think there would be a problem.....essentially the scar you have is the pattern itself.......
there are also creams and silicon pads that you can place over your scars to help clear them. they do come at a bit of a price but highly effective (saying that its not 100% and work best on scars that are under 10 yrs old).
There is a cream called mederma and also another one which i forget the name right now but if you would like to know i can find out at work for u.
the other is the silicon pad that you put on top of the scar, its called cicagel and has rave reviews......please contact me if you wish to know more

Well to be sure ask your doctor or a real good tattoo artist. The skin is the largest organ we have..don't mess with it!
